COURSE DESCRIPTION
The first half of the seminar will focus on representational theories of perceptual and affective experience with a particular emphasis on whether such experiences are transparent to introspection. Recent transparency claims and theories of introspection will be scrutinized especially in the context of affective phenomenology of experiences. The second half of the seminar will focus on theories of perceptual affect developed both in philosophy of mind and in the context of value theory/moral psychology.
