I. Bugra Sagsen entered the MA program in fall 2022 after completing their BA in philosophy at Middle East Technical University. They are primarily interested in epistemology, philosophy of action and perception. They also have interests in cognitive sciences and phenomenology. Currently they are working on epistemic normativity, belief, reasons, and rationality.

Mukund Maithani entered the MA program in fall 2023, following an integrated BA and postgraduate diploma in philosophy from Ashoka University, India. His main philosophical interests lie in moral psychology, Buddhist philosophy, philosophy of mind and cognitive science. His research is broadly concerned with the ethical and psychological dimensions of mental experience, especially through questions regarding emotions, attention, imagination, perception, and embodied cognition.

Max Campbell entered the MA program in fall 2024. His philosophical interests include indigenous philosophy, Chinese philosophy (particularly Zhuangzi and Xunzi), social rules, the later Wittgenstein, the foundations of logic and mathematics, and standpoint epistemology. He is a board member at the Carnegie Community Centre and a translator, poet, and essayist.

George Gerber entered the MA program in fall 2024. George first studied philosophy at Dartmouth College and is interested in the philosophy of language, metaphilosophy, and value theory. In practice, these interests often concern conceptual engineering and conceptual ethics and (non-ideal?) semantics and pragmatics.

Elena Hudson entered the MA program in fall 2024. She holds a BA in Philosophy from Toronto Metropolitan University. Her philosophical interests include epistemology, ethics, and philosophy of mind, and she is particularly interested in questions about the nature of thought and consciousness, the limits of reason, and intuitive knowledge. Additionally, she has a strong interest in critical theory. Elena has served as a senior editor for Toronto Metropolitan University's Student Philosophy Journal since September 2023.

Feiya Zhang entered the MA program in fall 2023. Prior to this, she accomplished her MFA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths, University of London. She is interested in topics such as theories of emotion, temporality, fiction, and the comparison of values from ethics and aesthetics. Beyond her philosophical research, she is exploring the relationship between fictional writing and philosophical argumentation, and how the two can be combined.

Fengyuan Liu entered the MA program in fall 2024. He holds a research master's degree from Utrecht University in the Netherlands and a bachelor's degree from Nankai University in China. His research interests are focused on early modern European philosophy, with a specific emphasis on the interactions between metaphysics, epistemology, and religion. Moreover, he has a keen interest in a number of other topics and areas, including emergence (philosophy of science), secularism (philosophy of religion) and HPS.

His current main interests are in topics within aesthetics and the philosophy of language. He is currently focused on theories of how we engage with or experience representational works.
