Connect every B.C. family to a family doctor

Far too many British Columbians are without a family doctor. You can help us change that.

When you give to the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV School of Medicine, you are investing in the next generation of primary care physicians dedicated to improving the health of our diverse communities. Your generosity will give aspiring physicians access to the training they require—and put more family doctors into practice across Fraser Health and beyond.

The ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV School of Medicine is being built with and for B.C. Will you give to help us meet today’s critical needs and transform B.C.’s health care system?

Support Medical Students

Your support will create more learning pathways and opportunities, positioning future physicians to thrive as they begin their journey at the school.

With your investment, you help students overcome the financial barriers that might otherwise prevent them from pursuing medical education. You also give them access to an innovative three-year curriculum model focused on community-centred care that is socially accountable and culturally safe. Through coursework and clinical training emphasizing team-based care, communication, critical thinking and technological proficiency, these students will develop the skills and knowledge needed to become highly competent and ethical physicians.

Forty-eight students are anticipated to be in the inaugural class, growing to approximately 120 students over the next decade.

Your contribution will help these leaders excel in rewarding and sustainable medical careers that contribute to the health and well-being of diverse peoples and communities across B.C.

Whether you create an endowment, provide annual support or plan a future commitment, you can empower the next generation of family physicians who will help in improving the quality of human health in B.C.

Scholarships help academically strong students get the most out of their education

Bursaries provide critical financial support for worthy students who simply could not otherwise afford a university education

Awards recognize the value of those students who are engaged with their communities and validate their commitment to society.

State-of-the-art learning technology to advance student medical training, clinical simulation and patient care.

Your Impact

Your investment in the training of more primary care physicians in and for B.C. communities will help add urgently needed capacity for the province’s health care system. As we embark on this historic journey of building the School, your donor support of the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV School of Medicine will have layers of impact to:

  • Propel leading edge clinical research and drive discovery and innovation in human health
  • Improve health access, patient outcomes and satisfaction in the Fraser Salish region and across B.C.—including remote, rural and Indigenous communities
  • Create a more equitable health workforce to better reflect the province’s diversity
  • Contribute to the B.C. economy through job creation, medical school construction, operating costs, medical technologies and more
  • Enhance the health, social, economic and research impacts across the Fraser Health Authority
