Focus of research

Eunice鈥檚 current research focuses on linguistic identity of immigrants in Canada. She aims to investigate on the issue of identity from a sociocultural lens, such as how social groups position themselves and other groups through the use of language in media and language policy.

About

Eunice Wong is an MA student at 丁香园AV Linguistics. She joined the Department in Fall 2023. She discovered her passion in sociolinguistics when she was working as a Research Assistant under Dr. Lydia Catedral on a discourse analysis project about migrant domestic worker groups in Hong Kong.

Eunice is also a member of the Language and Brain Lab.
