- October 27, 2014: Congratulations to Simons Chair Jeff Checkel, who has been awarded a Humboldt Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany! The prize is granted to academics whose 'fundamental discoveries, new theories, or insights have had a significant impact on their own discipline and who are expected to continue producing cutting-edge achievements in the future.' It provides funds for Checkel to spend up to a year cooperating on a long-term research project with specialist colleagues in Germany, in this case, at the Free University Berlin.
