About the Film
Mom Cora is an elderly woman nearing eighty who lives with one of her four children, the poorest among them. One day, while they are all gathered for an anniversary meal, a major problem arises for everyone: Who will inherit from Doña Cora? And who will take care of her by bringing her into their home? Just as the controversy is starting, they receive news that the elderly woman has attempted suicide by throwing herself onto the train tracks. They all begin to discuss Doña Cora's possible funeral, and old resentments come to light, turning into comical scenes.
