Women and Gender Equality (WAGE) Canada:
This project was commissioned by Women and Gender Equality (WAGE) Canada to identify how Canada can best model the impacts of climate change on diverse populations, including marginalized and/or vulnerable peoples. To do this, our team analyzed how a predictive modelling approach would most effectively integrate social, economic, health and climate data to produce evidence-based predictions of the climate impacts on specific populations. This work on equity and evidence building enabled an important collaboration between experts in the areas of critical social theory, qualitative research methodologies, GIS, complex systems modelling and Big Data.
