Artist in Residence in the UBC Botanical Garden (Feb 2016 – March 2018)

The combination of my teaching, scholarship and service is interconnected and came together in my role as Artist in Residence in the UBC Botanical Garden.  I am responsible for creating full-length solo public performances of dance/poetry in each season as well as doing occasional workshops. The UBC garden provides an incredible site to explore the connections between nature and sustainability, ecology and the arts, through arts-based inquiry, poetic and embodied forms of inquiry.

They are a place to explore the connections between botany, ecology and the arts and an extension of my site-specific performance.
