Research Interests

In his research, Dr. Bingham investigates philosophical perspectives on curriculum and education. He focuses on such themes as recognition, authority, truth and self-fashioning as these themes become meaningful in curricular and educational interactions.

As well, Bingham focuses on critical multicultural practices, philosophies of language, and literary renditions of school experience. Some of the thinkers that inform his work are Friedrich Nietzsche, Michel Foucault, Judith Butler, Jacques Ranci猫re, Jacques Derrida, Hans-Georg Gadamer, Franz Fanon, Jessica Benjamin, and Mikhail Bakhtin.
