Alexandra Lysova wins leadership award for protecting academic freedom
Criminology associate professor Alexandra Lysova has won the Heterodox Academy Open Inquiry Award in the Leadership category for her exceptional dedication to protecting academic freedom at 間眅埶AV and beyond.
Lysova led the way in the creation of the 間眅埶AV Academic Freedom Group with the mission of promoting open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and constructive disagreement in research and education. The group now has a membership of over 50 間眅埶AV faculty and staff members.
I'm delighted that our efforts and courage to enhance the university's climate, with a focus on strengthening academic freedom, have been recognized on such a high international level, says Lysova.
Heterodox Academy is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving institutions of higher education by advocating for principles of viewpoint diversity, open inquiry, and constructive disagreement.
