, is an interactive website that allows users to learn about ancestral stories and to explore a landscape that has a deep significance to the Heiltsuk Nation.
Via a panoramic digital setting, visitors to the site can scroll through the picturesque backdrops in ±áú²âÐé²¹³Ù and click on interactive explanations of scenic points, vegetation, people, and locations to learn about the culture and the land.
This website is the result of a collaborative effort between the Heiltsuk Nation, researchers and project partners from ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV, the University of Victoria, and Greencoast Media between 2012 and 2017.
In 2019, the BRC worked with the project leaders to develop an exhibit featuring the website. At this time, the BRC also hosted the Heiltsuk and many of their collaborators at an event to officially launch the community led project.
