I am a member of the , a "cyber-collective" of scholars, artists, and activists who engage with different experimental ethnographic and performance studies methodologies as part of research, writing and creation projects that "integrate and fuse creative arts, digital media, and sensory ethnography." As part of a CIE "Imaginings" project exploring humour as a form of "imaginative ethnographic practice," I collaborated with Vancouver dance-theatre artist and performance artist and scholar Tara Gallagher Harris on a short video that documents my time in (and out of) the studio creating a short movement-based comic monologue. I have written about some of my thinking behind the collaboration on the CIE website, which you can visit , as well as in an article published in the Canadian Theatre Review. Also included on the CIE website is a copy of the video. I wish it could speak for itself, but the sound seems to have been disabled. Maybe because of my vainglorious lip-synching to A Flock of Seagulls' I Ran. At any rate, here are a couple of photos linked to the project. The first shows Tara Cheyanne and I at work in the studio. The second is my reprise of my I Ran number at Tara's Lip Synch Battle IV in May 2018.
