Shannon De Groot joined ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV in October 2022 as the new director of Meeting, Event and Conference Services (MECS) at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV. Throughout her career, Shannon has held diverse leadership positions across for-profit and nonprofit sectors globally, with her most recent role being the Director of Operations for International Conference Services (ICS) in Vancouver and she spent over a decade in The Netherlands working as the Head of Professional Development and School Delivery with the International Baccalaureate. In addition to her experience and education, Shannon brings a strong passion for collaborative leadership and organizational development to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV. She studied at Camosun College, the University of Waterloo, and Roehampton University and holds certifications in Project Management, Adult Education, Leadership and Executive Coaching.
