Jamatkhana

Burnaby, Faith Gathering, Islam, Prayer, ISA

Jamatkhana, evening prayers, are held by the Ismaili Students Association each evening of the week.

This event is reserved for those who practice the Shi'a Ismaili faith. If you would like to know more, the locations and the start times, please contact Faith Leads.

Jamatkhana, literally "congregational place," is an amalgamation derived from the Arabic word jama‘a (gathering) and the Persian word khana (house, place). It is a term used by some Muslim communities around the world to denote a place of gathering. At ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV this gathering is for prayer amongst the Ismaili community.
