EVSC 100-3 Introduction to Environmental Science

Introduces students to the discipline of environmental science. Lecture material will be complemented by case studies and guest speakers. Students who have completed EVSC 200 may not complete this course for further credit.

EVSC 205-3 Methods in Environmental Science

Introduces EVSC students to lab and field methods used in the study of Environmental Science. Prerequisite: EVSC 100. Students who have completed EVSC 491W may not complete this course for further credit.

EVSC 380-3 Practicum I

First term of work experience in the Environmental Science Co-operative Education Program. Units from this course do not count towards the units required for a 間眅埶AV degree. Prerequisite: acceptance in the environment co-operative education program.

EVSC 381-3 Practicum II

Second term of work experience in the Environmental Science Co-operative Education Program. Units from this course do not count towards the units required for a 間眅埶AV degree. Prerequisite: EVSC 380 and readmission to the environment co-operative education program.

EVSC 399-1 Environmental Science Seminar I

Provides Environmental Science students the opportunity to discuss concepts and applications from upper division courses that address social aspects in the study of Environmental Science. Prerequisite: EVSC 100 and 205. Students who have completed EVSC 401 may not complete this course for further credit.

EVSC 480-3 Practicum III

Third term of work experience in the Environmental Science Co-operative Education Program. Units from this course do not count towards the units required for a 間眅埶AV degree. Prerequisite: EVSC 381 and readmission to the environment co-operative education program.

EVSC 481-3 Practicum IV

Fourth term of work experience in the Environmental Science Co-operative Education Program. Units from this course do not count towards the units required for a 間眅埶AV degree. Prerequisite: EVSC 480 and readmission to the environment co-operative education program.

EVSC 482-3 Practicum V

Optional fifth term of work experience in the Environmental Science Co-operative Education Program. Units from this course do not count towards the units required for a 間眅埶AV degree. Prerequisite: EVSC 481 and readmission to the environment co-operative education program.

EVSC 491W-3 Advanced Field Studies in Environmental Science

Apply the theories and methods of environmental science to evaluate quantitatively the environmental impact of an industry on a selected site. The site can vary from year to year. This laboratory course brings together students from all streams of the Environmental Science Program, and the field work will be conducted by small groups of students. Prerequisite: standing in the environmental science program, with at least 30 upper division units, or with permission of the program director. Writing.

EVSC 499-1 Environmental Science Seminar II

Provides Environmental Science students the opportunity to discuss concepts and applications presented in upper division courses that address social science aspects in the study of Environmental Science. Prerequisite: EVSC 100, 205, 399. Students who have completed EVSC 401 may not complete this course for further credit.
