REEL 49 COMMENTARY
1. Recorded with car motor off.2. Recorded from highway. Lots of high frequency squeaks and a very musical hum, that gets thrown around by wind. (Good compositional material?)
3. Ambience consists of a loud broadband hum with some interestingly changing frequency content.
4. Quieter, does not mask traffic from highway. Throbbing motor sound.
8. Great take: completely quiet ambience, footsteps appearing in distance, passing, disappearing. Note also sound of corduroy pants.
9. At a slower pace, not as good.
10. Note extremely quiet ambience when car stops. Woman has French accent.
11. Recordists have extreme difficulties, can't get very far with him!
12. Very quiet ambience, one pick-up truck passes (2'30") by. No other sounds otherwise.
