Updates from the Graduate Program Committee (GPC)

BC Graduate Scholarship (BCGS) Available

SEE is pleased to offer one BC Graduate Scholarship (BCGS) for an outstanding graduate student (MASc or PhD) who is starting their research program at SEE in Fall 2024, Spring 2025 or Summer 2025. The award is valued at a total of $17,500, paid over three installments in the first year of the student's program. Only Canadian citizens or permanent residents are eligible for this award. Interested students should contact their identified supervisor or the graduate program administrator for further information.

The new PhD Minimum Funding policy has been approved by Senate as of December 6, 2023.

This means that all PhD admits starting Fall 2024 will be guaranteed a minimum funding of $28,000/year for their first 4 years (12 terms) of their PhD program.
