This commitment to knowledge mobilization is intended to facilitate wider public engagement with research and deepen connections between researchers and knowledge users.Ìý¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's Knowledge Mobilization HubÌý provides services and supports to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV researchers across all three campuses.

Make an appointment with ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV's Knowledge Mobilization Director
Lupin Battersby (PhD) is ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s Director, Knowledge Mobilization (KM). In this role she provides training, KM consulting, and is working to support better institutional recognition for KM and research impact. Her KM interest was sparked 20 years ago while working both as a clinical counsellor and as a research assistant, where she experienced first-hand the gap between research and practice. Since that time, she has worked in roles in and out of academia with a primary focus on the challenges and opportunities to mobilize research in various areas including health services, mental health, housing, aging, and patient engagement.ÌýSince joining ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV in this position Lupin has established the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV KM Hub as a central resource, won two awards for collaboration and leadership in KM, and secured funding for expanding the resources and scope of the Hub.

Join the ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV-UBC Implementation Science Institute
This implementation science institute, launched collaboratively by The UBC Knowledge Exchange and ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Knowledge Mobilization, is a two-year training program for early to mid-career health researchers (from a wide range of health-related topics and disciplines such as psychology, urban planning, gerontology, biomedical engineering, public health, education, etc.) who are interested in or embarking on projects that encompass the science of implementation.
