Research Assistants

We usually have a number of undergraduate students working in the lab as volunteer research assistants (RAs). These RAs play a vital role in our research and are involved in many aspects of the research process. Tasks that RAs may be involved in include: library research, assisting with the design and development of research materials, data collection, data entry, and data coding. We prefer a time commitment of at least 4 hours per week.

RAs can work as volunteers, as students enrolled in research engagement credits, or, if you qualify, as a work-study position.

We are most interested in people who would be able to commit to working with us for at least 2 semesters.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • psychology major
  • completion of PSYC 201 and 210
  • computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and library searches
  • interest in intergroup relations and environmental psychology
  • interest in graduate studies
  • ability to work independently as well as with others

In our lab, we are working hard to be inclusive and anti-oppressive. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences.

The lab is not currently accepting new applications. Please check back next academic term. For ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Psychology Students, we will advertise in the Psychology Engagement Newsletter the next time we are accepting applications.
