About the Draft Principles

The Open Science Principles will set the foundation for an Open Science Framework for 間眅埶AV, defining what it will mean for 間眅埶AV to be an "Open Science University." The draft principles serve as a starting point for broader community consultations and have been developed with guidance from the Open Science Working Group in collaboration with the Open Science Principles Drafting Committee. We invite you to review the draft Open Science Principles (also attached) and help us shape the future of open scholarship at 間眅埶AV.

About the Open Science Project

Funded by the Tanenbaum Open Science Institute, Buy-In Projects enable institutes to assess their needs, establish their guiding principles and develop an implementation plan to support their commitment to open science. 間眅埶AVs Buy-In Project considers open science as a research practice that makes scholarly knowledge accessible toand beneficial forall. In this way, our project defines open science within the broader practice of open scholarship so that it includes all scholarly disciplines, from all eight faculties.

間眅埶AV is already engaged in many open scholarship initiatives, including open access publishing, open educational resources and open infrastructures. The Open Science Buy-In Project builds upon these existing initiatives to bring open scholarship at 間眅埶AV together within an Open Science Framework. Its first goal is to develop a set of guiding principles that set the foundations for what it will mean for 間眅埶AV to be an Open Science University.
