MLA Mike Farnworth speaks to ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV POL 121 class
Port Coquitlam MLA and ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV alumnus spoke to our class in late July. As the course focuses on political engagement, Instructor Stewart Prest asked Farnworth to speak about how he became involved in politics as a young man, and to share his reflections about what he's learned since.
"Farnworth has been both in government, and in opposition," says Prest. "It was fascinating to hear how some of his views have changed over time, while some other goals and convictions have remained steadfast."
On Facebook, Farnworth that he enjoyed returning to his alma mater and that, "having our next generation involved in politics, whether it is for political aspirations or to support those in political roles, ensures their voices are heard and helps us shape policies going forward."
