Sanjay Jeram and Stewart Prest speak to the media about the prime minister’s WE Charity scandal

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is facing a conflict of interest investigation. He made WE Charity Canada the administrator of a more than $900-million student grant program. Yet, his mother, Margaret Trudeau, and his brother, Alexandre Trudeau, have been paid substantial sums of money for speaking at WE events.

The story continued to develop. Finance Minister Bill Morneau revealed that he and his family had received trips from WE Charity in 2017. As a result, opposition members called for his resignation.
