Molecular Cardiac Physiology Group

Welcome

The Molecular Cardiac Physiology Group is a cluster of dedicated researchers focused on understanding the molecular and cellular orgins of cardiac and vascular physiology and disease.

Founded in 2010, the MCPG comprises faculty from the Departments of Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology (Drs. Tom Claydon, Damon Poburko, Peter Ruben, Glen Tibbits) and Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (Drs. Mark Paetzel, Edgar Young). Our research interests range from the biophysical characterization of voltage-gated channels to regenerative medicine. Click on the links below to find our more about our members' research.

Join the team!

We are always interested in recruiting motivated undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral fellows into our group, and our different labs often have positions open throughout the year. If you are interested in joining one of the lab teams in our group, send an email with your transcript and CV to the head of that lab! Or try the link to the right for current job listings.
