The Math Catchers Outreach Program visited the Sto:lo territory in Mission B.C. Dr. Veselin Jungic and Lindsay Clifton went to Christine Morrison Elementary Schoo lwhere we visited 2 classrooms from grades 5 and 6 for the morning. We had about 75 minutes in each class which is longer than most of workshops so we either do more math puzzles or more tricks with the mobius strip. The students enjoyed solving our math puzzles, but some time we do need to give some hints. The students really like our tricks with the mobius strips especially when we make the two linking hearts. The student also love playing with our math toys and ask question about some of them. The ones they ask question about are the hexasticks made out of chopsticks and the paper clamp ball. Hopefully we encouraged the students to enjoy math. It was fantastic to meet all the teachers and students at Christine Morrison Elementary School. We would like to thank Judy Cathers for inviting us to visit your school. We had a fantastic time at your school.

"Thank you so much for coming to Christine Morrison to teach our students about Math. You have such an awesome way of having them connect it to their everyday lives. I also appreciate the inclusion of other cultures - including the First Nations and Metis. Your inspiration and dedication are greatly appreciated. The students and staff absolutely loved your presentation.
We also appreciated Lindsay's involvement. It was a pleasure to meet her.
We look forward to another good visit next year!"
