Students for Development Program
(2011-2014)
Description
The purpose of the project was to increase the active awareness and global citizenship of institutions, students, faculty and the public in support of securing the further of children and youth in Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ghana and Canada.
The project had 3 components:
1) Senior undergraduate and graduate 間眅埶AV students undertook semester-long internships, focusing on food security, health or education initiatives benefitting local children and youth.
2) Graduate students undertook a research semester at 間眅埶AV, focusing on children and youth and food security.
3) Two five-week collaborative online forums were held utilizing new media technology to foster knowledge pertinent to food security and the health and education of children and youth. Students at all partner institutions participated.
