New local exhibit explores south asian stories

Professor Anushay Malik has been instrumental in bringing an interactive exhibit of South Asian Canadian history to the Burnaby Village Museum. In ‘Truths Not Often Told - Being South Asian in Burnaby’ Malik and co-curator Jane Lemke of Burnaby Village Museum explore the many lived experiences of the Burnaby’s South Asian Canadian communities. According to Malik, the exhibit is not just about South Asian experiences in Burnaby itself, but also how those expreiences have been shaped by colonial history of the British Empire.
