David Chariandy: one of "USA Today's" Black novelists you should read

In its August 20th, 2020 article, "," USA Today, named our own professor David Chariandy to its prestigious list.
The article cited Chariandy's first novel, , published in 2007 and his second, published ten years later. Both are award-winning works of fiction dealing with issues of race, immigration, and so much more.
USA Today also notes that, "nonfiction books on race have resonated with readers across the country... Readers are educating themselves on systemic racism and challenging their preconceptions about race."
