Niitsitapi Teacher Training Program
Prepared proposal and managed the development of an innovative, 1.3 million dollar program of culture-centric Blackfoot teacher education program. Niitsitapi is a collaboration between the U of L, Red Crow Community College and the Kinai Board of Education. 24 students were admitted in July, 2004, and 19 students successfully completed the program. We are now in the process of developing a proposal for permanent funding for this highly successful program.
Campus Alberta Applied Psychology (CAAP), Master of Counselling Program
Innovative, distance-delivery format providing graduate training in counselling psychology. Original 3-year budget of close to 1.4 million; the 6th cohort will be admitted in January, 2007. Founding member of CAAP planning team, and official representative for the University of Lethbridge on all coordinating and ad hoc committees.
Master of Education, Counselling Psychology Specialization, University of Lethbridge
Developed program from start-up; wrote the program and course proposals, developed student recruitment and intake plan, negotiated practicum placements, and developed course rotation sequence. The first cohort was admitted in July 1999, and admissions have occurred on alternate years since then.
