Before Scheduling Your Initial Appointment
We will arrange a time to talk with you on the telephone about your counselling needs so that we can ensure our services are a good fit. If our services do not match your needs, we will assist you in finding other mental health resources.
We wish to help you with your counselling needs and will be happy to answer your questions about our services. Please call or email us and we will return your message as soon as possible. Please kindly keep in mind that we are a part-time service.
Weekly Online or in Person Counselling
We offer a combination of free in-person and telehealth counselling services for individuals over the age of 10. Both services are contingent upon availability. At this time, we do not provide couples or family counselling.
Appointments are scheduled between September and April. Counsellors work with a wide range of mental health concerns with a diverse population.
To ensure our counsellor trainees can provide the best possible service, we require our potential clients to meet the following criteria:
- Be comfortable working with a supervised master's level graduate student
- Consent to video recording of sessions (all video recordings are deleted at the end of the school year)
- Not currently involved in any legal proceedings (e.g. custody, criminal, ICBC claims etc.)
- No current active substance misuse
- Able to attend sessions at the same time every week at one of the following times:
Wednesday: 4:00 pm or 5:30 pm
Thursday: 3:00 pm or 4:30 pm
