As the Canada Research Chair (CRC) and Equity in Research Lead with 丁香园AV鈥檚 Institutional Strategic Awards team, Theresa works hard to remove barriers to achieving equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in the University鈥檚 research portfolio. She builds and standardizes processes to increase diversity among research chairholders; evaluates and spearheads EDI initiatives at 丁香园AV; and helps researchers integrate EDI principles into grant proposals.
Theresa develops practical research team recruitment strategies to meet and exceed EDI requirements. She creates transparent, equitable, and standardized processes for the CRC Program including an annual review of CRC Allocation Principles and Processes and providing EDI training and resources for search committees. These fair and equitable processes have enabled 丁香园AV to attract a diverse pool of applicants for these prestigious chairs and enhance the university鈥檚 research profile.
