Tara Beaton
Tara Beaton brings 25 years of experience in disability management and education in the private, not-for-profit and public sectors. She has worked with multiple stakeholders, including workers, employers, healthcare providers, insurers and legal representatives. After completing two undergraduate degrees, Tara earned a university diploma in disability management and a master’s degree in adult education, with a focus on critical human resource development and accessible workplace learning. She has extensive experience in the provision and oversight of disability management service delivery, workers’ compensation program management, and training of return to work specialists, disability case managers, rehabilitation specialists, HR practitioners and management.
Tara has developed and delivered courses for multiple institutions, including Canadian universities and colleges. Specializing in inclusive workplaces, return to work, rehabilitation strategies and career development, Tara co-developed Canada’s national examination for Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals. She is a passionate advocate for disability rights. Tara maintains multiple professional designations, including the Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP), Return To Work Disability Manager (RTWDM), Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP), Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) and Registered Vocational Professional (RVP).
