Plain Language Final Project

The final project in the Plain Language Certificate provides an opportunity for you to master, integrate and display the knowledge and skills learned in previous courses in the program. This is a directed study in which you’ll work on a practical solution to a communication challenge.

You will work with a community group that has a specific communication need. You will interact with the client to assess their need and assess the challenge from a communication perspective. You’ll then develop the framework for the project, gather the necessary information and data and justify your recommendation. Finally, you’ll undertake the necessary development of the communication product, produce the communication piece and report on the project.

The final project for this course is due one week after the course ends.
