WiE Design Team
The WiE Design Team is a team that consists of self-identifying female students from various disciplines. The WiE Design Team is a subset of the WiE club, and focuses on providing a safe space for women and minorities to gain and build their technical skills.
Currently, this team of talented individuals is working on an IoT Garbage Collecting Robot controlled via Bluetooth. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic WiE Design also started a PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) initiative to design, 3D-print, and donate face shields and ear savers to healthcare workers, volunteers, and small businesses. Self-identifying female students and allies are all welcome to join our team.
Our face shields have been designed by our very own design team members, and printed by our wonderful printing members from MSE!
