Ella Champion, Research Assistant
Ella is a student in the Master's of Resource Management (Planning) program in the School of Resource and Environmental Management (REM) at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of British Columbia, during which time she also served five summers as a forest firefighter with the BC Wildfire Service in Williams Lake and Quesnel. She went on to work for five years as a political staffer in the BC Legislature in Victoria, primarily in the office the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure. Her research interests include community planning for wildfire protection, and how low carbon resilience measures can help support healthy and diversified rural communities.
