Alexandra Welch, Research Assistant
Alexandra is a biologist with experience in consulting, environmental planning and conservation. She is dedicated to improving human-environment interactions and managing environmental resources. As an ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Resource and Environmental Management alumna, she is currently pursuing a Masters in Resource Management Planning, focusing on the barriers to implementing municipal environmental policy at the watershed scale. In her free time, she volunteers as a Director of a non-profit organization conducting conservation science research and engaging the public with nature while assisting in research to better determine the use of critical habitats of migrating bird species.
In 2025, Alexandra joined ACT – Action on Climate Team supporting research on bioregional ecosystem-based management approaches in municipalities on the Saanich Peninsula to enhance watershed health and resilience in a changing climate.
