Registration is open for Science Summer Camps!

Do you know any elementary or high school students looking for some fun summer activities? Science summer camps for students grades K-12 are now open for registration at ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV, UBC and Thompson Rivers University! These camps are an exciting way to learn over fun, science-based tasks and activities. It’s a chance for young minds to uncover educational or career opportunities and leave with a memorable experience.
Science summer camps are an excellent opportunity for young girls to explore and learn about Science, Technology, Education and Mathematics (STEM). By inspiring more girls towards STEM at a young age, not only will they learn discover the variety that sciences has to offer, but they are more likely to consider futures in STEM fields!
¶¡ÏãÔ°AV Summer Camps: Taking place across ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV’s Burnaby and Surrey campuses as well as Haida Gwaii, provide an opportunity for youth to learn about science, engineering and technology through hands-on activities, lab experiments, games and projects. Back by popular demand, the unique themes will explore everything from ocean environments to chemical reactions and infinite galaxies.
¶¡ÏãÔ°AV will also be hosting Educational summer camps at their Burnaby and Surrey Campuses. There are Computer camps for kids 8-14 years and 3D Printing Camps for kids 12-17 years.
UBC Summer Camps: is offering a dynamic mix of day camps exploring science, engineering and technology. Kids can choose from 2-week camps, a variety of Codemakers themes and Girls Only specialty camps! For those more interested in the fundamental nature of the universe, is also offering fun programs for students looking to learn about space, build and stylize a website and explore core concepts about physics in everyday life. Regardless of which option they choose, they’re bound to learn something new!
: From July 11 – July 15, TRU’s EUReKA! Science Program will be offering a Girls Only Week to encourage excitement and confidence in young girls towards pursuing educations in STEM. Led by local female leaders and mentors in the community, the emphasis towards girls learning based in a for girls interested in sciences!
Tomorrow’s Master of Digital Media Program (TMDM): is a 3-week intensive summer camp that runs from August 8 – August 26 at the The camp is for students in grades 9-12 who want to explore the video game and digital media industry. Students will learn rapid prototyping and collaborative techniques and will have a playable digital media product at the end of the camp. The camp will run from 9AM to 5PM Monday to Friday and includes lunch. TMDM is a competitive entry program and applicants must write a letter of intent and include references from their teachers.
