BASS Mentor
The Business Administration Student Society (BASS) Mentorship Program is a student-run initiative that pairs first-year students with senior Business Administration students to help them transition from high school to university. The program involves four main events (Launch Party, Midterm Relief, Pitch Off, Wrap Up Party) combined with regular one-on-one mentor meetings throughout the term.
Mentors
Mentors help mentees build confidence, learn about opportunities for involvement, increase their social and professional network, and provide additional support.
Team Leaders
Team Leaders work closely with the Organizing Committee to offer a support system for mentors to grow and develop their mentoring techniques. This role is responsible for fostering an environment of open communication; ensuring training and curriculum is relevant and enforced; and planning and facilitating mentor training with the Organizing Committee.
Organizing Committee
The Organizing Committee supports the program in various capacities. They are responsible for interviewing and selecting mentors; matching mentees with mentors based on personality, interests, academic goals, and availability; and organizing the four main social events.
