An in-depth exploration of music theory from a decolonised perspective. This includes an in-depth investigation of musical notation, both traditional and graphic, as used in Western and non-Western traditions in a wide spectrum of music literature, all of which will be accompanied by practical exercises. No formal music training is required. May be of particular interest to students in other departments.
