間眅埶AV Calendar 2021 Summer

Engineering Science Continuance GPA Requirement

Engineering science students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.20 to remain in the program. Students with CGPA falling below this minimum after one year from the time of admission to Engineering Science will be moved to the Bachelor of General Studies in Applied Sciences.

Residency Requirements

The University may award substantial transfer credit for course work that has been completed elsewhere. These transfer units reduce the amount of work needed to complete a 間眅埶AV credential, subject to minimum residency requirements for work complete at 間眅埶AV. In addition to University-wide residency requirements, the Faculty of Applied Sciences also defines program-based residency requirements for each of its programs.

Overall, the residency requirements define three conditions that apply to every program offered through the Faculty of Applied Sciences.

  • At least half of the program's total units must be earned through 間眅埶AV study.
  • At least two thirds of the program's total upper division units must be earned through 間眅埶AV study.
  • At least two thirds of the upper division units in the courses of a school offering a program (or jointly offering a program) must be earned through that school at 間眅埶AV.

These conditions apply to all Faculty of Applied Sciences undergraduate degree, post baccalaureate diploma and certificate programs and also apply to major, honours, minor, extended minor and specialist programs that form part of an overall degree program, whether the program is offered by the Faculty of Applied Sciences or by any other faculty.

Student Responsibility

It is the responsibility of each student to be aware of faculty regulations as stated in this Calendar. Departmental and faculty advisors and staff are available for advice and guidance. However, the ultimate responsibility for completeness and correctness of course selection, for compliance with and completion of program and degree requirements and for observance of regulations and deadlines rests with the student.
