International Finance ECON 345 (3)

Foreign exchange markets; determination of spot and forward exchange rates; Euro currency markets; balance of payments statistics; international adjustment theory; income price and exchange rate effects; the role of international short term capital flows; the international monetary system: gold standard, freely floating rates, dollar gold exchange standard, centrally created reserves. Prerequisite: ECON 103 or 200 and 105 or 205, all with a minimum grade of C-; 60 units or permission of the department. Students with credit for ECON 445 may not take this course for further credit. Quantitative.
