A historical exploration of the role of communication media in children's lives focusing on the growing public debates about children's cultural industries (toys; comics; films; TV and video games) and the role they play in consumer socialization. Prerequisite: 60 units including two of CMNS 220, 221, 223 (or 223W), 226.
