Explores the relationship between justice and power in international politics, focusing on the morality of war and use of violence. It explores when morality claims should supersede interests including in cases of conventional war, humanitarian intervention, terrorism, and the use of drones. Students who have taken Selected Topics course POL 349 with this topic may not take this course for further credit.
