The pre-industrial period. History of the economic development of civilization from ancient times until the industrial revolution. Emphasis will be placed on the influence of geographical factors, discoveries and inventions, religion, and social organization and customs. Prerequisite: ECON 103 or 200 and ECON 105 or 205.
