Introduction to Financial Management BUS 242 (3)
This course is designed to introduce students to the concepts and techniques of corporate financial analysis. The goal is to provide them with the skills and understanding necessary to apply financial tools in a work-related context. Three primary financial functions are considered: management of working capital, the investment decision, and funds acquisition. The course also covers issues from financial accounting related to the development of financial statements and financial statement analysis. Special Instructions: this course is only open for credit to students in the integrated studies program within the bachelor of general studies degree. Prerequisite: MATH 110.
