Introduction to First Nations Language I FNLG 231 (3)
Introduces the structure of a First Nations language, including phonetics, vocabulary, word formation, and grammatical constructions. Based on a designated language and usually chosen from the Northwest coast area. Recommended: Students in the First Nations Studies program should complete FNLG 231 before FNLG 130. Students who have completed LING 231 for a designated language may not complete this course for further credit for the same designated language.
