French Co-operative Education Program
Program Requirements
Co-operative education courses are available to those meeting the Faculty of Arts and Social Science’s co-operative education requirements, and who want practical experience related to French studies. The program entails planned study terms and employment.
Students will complete
First term of work experience in the French Co-operative Education program. Students should apply to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Co-op Education co-ordinator two terms in advance. Units from this course do not count towards the units required for an ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV degree. Prerequisite: A minimum of 30 units including French courses to the level of FREN 215 (or equivalent placement) and a minimum CGPA of 2.75.
Second term of work experience in the French Co-operative Education program. Students should apply to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Co-op Education co-ordinator two terms in advance. Units from this course do not count towards the units required for an ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV degree. Prerequisite: A minimum of 45 units including French courses to the level of FREN 215 (or equivalent placement), successful completion of FREN 185, and a minimum CGPA of 2.75.
Third term of work experience in the French Co-operative Education program. Students should apply to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Co-op Education co-ordinator two terms in advance. Units from this course do not count towards the units required for an ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV degree. Prerequisite: A minimum of 60 units including French courses to the level of FREN 222 (or equivalent placement), successful completion of FREN 285, and a minimum CGPA of 2.75.
Fourth term of work experience in the French Co-operative Education program. Students should apply to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Co-op Education co-ordinator two terms in advance. Units from this course do not count towards the units required for an ¶¡ÏãÔ°AV degree. Prerequisite: A minimum of 75 units including French courses to the level of FREN 301 (or equivalent placement), successful completion of FREN 385, and a minimum CGPA of 2.75.
