Occupational Biomechanics BPK 380 (3)

This course will teach the principles of biomechanical analysis and their application in the workplace. Topics will include techniques for measurement and analysis of movement; analysis of forces and accelerations in three dimensions; work and power; simple biomechanical and biodynamic models; standards for lifting and carrying, their application and limitations. Prerequisite: REQ-BPK (or KIN) 180, 201, 205 and 326 which may be taken concurrently. Students with credit for KIN may not repeat this course for further credit. Quantitative.
