Student declaration and responsibility

Upon enrolling in classes, a student has initiated a contract with the University and is bound by the following declaration:

I hereby accept and submit myself to the policies, rules and regulations of 間眅埶AV and any amendments thereto, which may be made while I am a student of the University, and solely to the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada, as applicable, and I promise to observe and be bound by the same and, in any litigation, to attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Province of British Columbia or Canada, as applicable.

The student declaration is important. It imposes obligations on students and affects rights and privileges including property rights.  You must not enrol as a student at the University if you do not agree to become bound by the declaration above. By agreeing to become a student, you make the declaration above and agree to be bound by it.

Students are required to inform themselves of the policies, rules and regulations, and ordinances (including bylaws and codes) and to any amendments thereto applicable at the University. For policies and procedures issued by the University see 間眅埶AV Policies and Procedures:

A student is expected to fulfill the requirements and write the examinations in all courses for which he/she is enrolled after the date in and as the last date to drop courses under extenuating circumstances. It is the students responsibility to ensure that Student Services has the proper information regarding courses in which the student is enrolled. Except in cases of illness, or for compassionate reasons, failure to write the exam constitutes a course failure. A student may receive credit for only the courses in which he/she is officially enrolled according to Student Services records.

This Agreement and any rights, duties and obligations between the parties to this Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted solely in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, and no other jurisdiction; and any litigation involving the parties to this Agreement shall be brought solely within the Province of British Columbia and shall be within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Province of British Columbia.
