1. Opens with conversation about sound levels, broadband noise in background throughout.
3'15" comments on effect of sudden noise in quiet environment.
*5'00" warning horn demonstration.
5'45" bell and siren sound (telephone signal).
6'00" talking about work rhythm of 8 days on, 6 days off - good; union talk, ear protection and ear tests with language; also talking about home situation, his wife noticing when he gets hard of hearing.
*10'20" door to engineering room opens momentarily (loud blast). Talk about effects of noise.
14'30" comments on audibility of emergency warning signals at his home.
