2-3. INTERVIEW WITH DAVID GRAHAM. Recollections of boyhood experiences recorded at the present-day sites. This take on the Muckart Road, where he once could hear 4 different church bells ringing at once (recorded at 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning).

mark * church bell starts in the distance. [26:35]

mark * the peewitt followed by conversation. [33:53]

COMMENTARY

1. Eeriness of recording increased by crows crowing in the distance or while flying close by the mics. Along with the wind there is the constant sound of songbirds.

2. Graham describes some of the birds, as we hear them on the tape; also describes what he sees. Some cars passing, one bicycle just before end of take.

3. Churchbell very faint, only audible when no car is passing and when volume turned up. At times, lots of cars passing. Following mark * (3), single leaf rushing across road in foreground.
